Replacement and conservation of deteriorated FOCAL PLANE SHUTTERS is a specialty and includes cameras such as: the Zeiss/Ermanox series and Simplex Ernaflex, the Zeiss Deckrullo series, and both Miroflex A and B.

Regularly restored are Kodak Ektra, Exakta 66 and Vest pocket versions, and Contessa Nettel

At Photography On Bald Mountain along with many other early cameras I also provide conservation and repair work for earlier Zeiss Cameras including those derived from the Deckrullo Contessa / Nettel design such as the Contax I series, the Contax II and III, the Contax IIa and IIIa, Netax, Contaflex I [tlr], Tenax II, and Super Nettel. I work on and restore all Ikontas, all Super Ikontas, all Ikoflex, the Contarex 10.2401, 10.2700, 10.0659 series.

I restore Compur and all other shutters in Zeiss early products. I replace bellows as required in all Zeiss folding cameras.

As I frequently work for collectors and active image makers I also see a variety of unusual, prototype, and rare Zeiss products which were either in very limited production or relate as accessories or lenses to some of the above mentioned cameras.

I generally do not repair electronic cameras.
